THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $51,909 gross per annum (pro-rata) plus 11% super. Reasonable overtime will be offered which can be taken as a 25% salary loading equating to $12,977 p.a. by agreement.
Time Fraction: Full time, 1.0 EFT.   
Location: Eildon campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Contract of employment until 31 December 2025.

Join our team as a General Tradesperson at the Eildon campus!

Your main duty will be to ensure the smooth maintenance of our buildings and equipment, along with monitoring and maintaining the water supply infrastructure and overseeing fire services and swimming pools. Additionally, you'll provide essential support for the daily operation of our rural property, including accommodation, catering, and rural learning services.

ABOUT YOU

  • Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Certificate III or higher in a relevant building trade and relevant work experience.
  • Driver’s Licence (VIC) & certificates related to the operation of heavy garden maintenance machinery including tractors, back hoe and welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of maintenance requirements of a remote area rural and hospitality venue operating with no mains water or town sewerage.
  • Experience in general building and facilities maintenance including gardening and landscape operations
  • Familiarity with local area including familiarity with goods and services suppliers, utility providers repair and maintenance companies.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work without guidance and no supervision and executive job priorities to a high standard.
