The Faculty of Health Science, Youth & Community Studies at Holmesglen provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong professional links and partnerships within the health and community services sector, and are seeking to appoint to the position of Head of Department, Allied Health Services and Science.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge of the allied health and science industries, including current and future trends. They will also have sound applied knowledge of the vocational education and training system. This position will require substantial experience with human, physical and financial management within the VET and / or higher education sector.

This is a role that will come with great challenges but even bigger rewards. The successful applicant shall have the exciting opportunity of working with, leading and managing dynamic teaching teams within the Certificate, Diploma and Higher Education programs. You will focus on cultivating and applying contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methods to maximise student learning outcomes and have a student-centred focus and commitment to education excellence.Vocational Education and Training experience and degree qualified is preferable.

Salary: $123,362 p.a pro rata plus 9.5% super and annual leave loading
Time Fraction: Full time   
Location: Moorabbin campus
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining a Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Ongoing appointment with a qualifying period.
