The Faculty of Health Science, Youth & Community Studies at Holmesglen provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong professional links and partnerships within the health and community services sector.

The successful applicant shall have the exciting opportunity of working within dynamic ‘cross-functional teaching teams’ applying contemporary educational frameworks within an innovative integrated curriculum model. The Fully-Integrated Teaching (FIT) curriculum is designed to assist students in connecting theory to practice and incorporates simulation teaching methodologies extensively across all years of the program. This, combined with a personalised student-centred approach, assures that students are well prepared for placement and practice.

Supporting the implementation of the FIT Curriculum are our world-class facilities, including the Holmesglen Simulation Centre. The Centre also provides the ideal context for innovation and research in nursing education and professional practice.

This position is suited to those that have:

  • Substantial clinical and undergraduate teaching experience in a Bachelor/Diploma of Nursing program
  • A keen interest in applying contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methods to maximise student learning outcomes
  • Experience and interest in simulation-based education
  • A student-centred focus and a commitment to educational excellence

Salary: $134.08 per hour (Lecture rate)
Employment Type: Casual
Location: Moorabbin and / or Bourke Street campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining a Working with Children Check.
