As part of an exciting partnership, the Charles Sturt University Bachelor of Oral Health (Therapy & Hygiene) is offered at Holmesglen. The institute offers world-class facilities, including the Oral Health Simulation Laboratory at the Chadstone Campus.

The Faculty of Health Science, Youth & Community Studies at Holmesglen provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong professional links and partnerships within the health and community services sector.

This postion oversee's the delivery of the Year 2 Health Promotion Subject, including lectures and tutorials and offer's support to Year 1 and 2 Clinical Practice subjects. 
Content includes; Social Determinants of Health, Health Education, Health Promotion, Indigenous Health, Population Health, Epidemiology and Research Methods.

The successful applicant shall have the exciting opportunity of working within dynamic ‘cross-functional teaching teams’ applying contemporary educational frameworks within an innovative integrated curriculum model. The Fully-Integrated Teaching (FIT) curriculum is designed to assist students in connecting theory to practice and incorporates simulation teaching methodologies extensively across all years of the program. This, combined with a personalised student-centred approach, assures that students are well prepared for placement and practice.

This position is suited to those that have:

  • Degree in Oral Health or approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, including post graduate qualifications in Oral Health (Therapy and Hygiene) or related
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Oral Health Therapist or General Dentist.
  • Substantial clinical and undergraduate teaching experience in a Bachelor of Oral Health
  • A keen interest in applying contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methods to maximise student learning outcomes
  • Experience and interest in simulation-based education
  • A student-centred focus and a commitment to educational excellence

Salary: $97,447 p.a. to $109,140 p.a. (range dependent upon qualifications and experience) + 9.5% superannuation + leave loading.
Time Fraction: Part time, 0.4 EFT position.
Location: Chadstone Campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining a Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Ongoing appointment with a qualifying period.
