The Community and Social Inclusion Department is seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals to source and place students with host employers for Structured Workplace Learning and Practical Placements.  The successful applicant will work closely with students studying VCAL Foundation, Certificate I in Transition Education and Certificate I in Work Education.  These courses are designed for young adults aged 16 – 20 with additional learning needs.

The position will involve:

•  Cold calling potential employers;
• Arranging Structured Workplace Learning and Practical Placement opportunities for students;
• Completing all relevant documentation;
• Maintaining a database;
• Collaborating with students, families, support workers, teachers and employers regarding placement;
• Taking students to interviews with prospective employers; and
• Performing general administration duties.

This position will be based at Moorabbin Campus but may require some attendance at Chadstone Campus.  Travel around metropolitan Melbourne will be required.

 The successful applicant will need to have the following:

• A current, full driver’s licence;
• Experience working with young people;
• Experience working in an education environment;
• Proficient computer skills;
• Experience working in an administrative role; and
• Excellent communication skills.

Experience working in a recruitment role and / or with people with disability would be an advantage. Rate of pay between $34.76 and $37.53 per hour, dependent on experience.
