Holmesglen is playing a pivotal role in the provision of training services and programs aligned to major infrastructure projects across Melbourne, including the Cross Yarra Partnership (Metro tunnel) project.

The Centre for Energy and Infrastructure is seeking a qualified technical officer to provide operational and technical support for all teaching and learning activities undertaken in the Victorian Tunnelling centre at our Drummond Street campus.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Appropriate tickets to operate specified of high risk equipment
  • Sound knowledge of Civil Construction equipment.
  • Technical ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Experience in a technical support role.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Salary: $55,141 to $59,541 p.a pro rata (dependent upon qualifications and experience) + 9.5% super + annual leave loading.
Time Fraction: Full time, 1.0 EFT.
Location: Drummond Street
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining a Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Contract of Employment to 31 December 2021.
