The Department of Community & Social Inclusion at Holmesglen provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. 

The department is currently seeking applications from enthusiastic and motivated individuals to effectively design and teach theoretical and practical sessions to students in:

  • Certificate I Horticulture (delivered simultaneously with Certificate I Work Education)
  • Certificate II in Horticulture

Note that these courses are delivered to young people with intellectual disabilities. The successful applicant will need to have knowledge and experience of how to work with a diverse range of young people with complex support and health needs.


  • Current VIT Registration (provisional or full)


  • A diploma level qualification in Disability or Community Services


  • A qualification in horticulture, environmental science, botany or a related field, at a Certificate III level or above
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or above

Employment Type: Casual
Casual Rate: $80.40 – 86.86 p/h + superannuation
Time Fraction: Negotiable (9.30am-3.30pm)
Location: Moorabbin & Chadstone Campus
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining a Working with Children Check.
Police Check: 
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
