THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading (depending on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.  
Location: Moorabbin & Glen Waverly campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Appointment from 15th July 2024 to 20th September 2024.

The Department of Early Childhood Education provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. The department is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to teach theoretical and practical sessions to students in Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver courses face-to-face and online in the required time frames and promote and foster an inclusive learning environment, as well as maintain accurate and quality attendance records.

If you do not have teaching experience but hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 (or its predecessor) we encourage you to apply now as you will be supported in delivering the required day to day duties.

ABOUT YOU

  • An approved degree or diploma in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications.
  • VET teaching experience is preferred.
  • At least 5 years or more of childcare industry experience.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to support and mentor students.
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty staff.
