THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction:  Full time.
Location: Moorabbin and Chadstone campuses.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Appointment to 31st December 2024. please note this is a parental leave coverage appointment

Join the dynamic Community and Social Studies department within the prestigious Faculty of Health Science, Community and Social Studies, where innovation meets education excellence. Our department leads the way in offering comprehensive courses spanning the social services spectrum, committed to delivering exceptional education across vocational education and training (VET) and higher education platforms.

We are currently inviting passionate individuals to become integral members of our team. As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with fellow educators to develop cutting-edge delivery and assessment tools, ensuring the highest standards of education and training in crucial areas such as Family Violence, Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Counselling, and Housing and Homelessness. Your unwavering commitment to student needs and your pursuit of educational excellence will be fundamental as you customize teaching and learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of students in our specialized educational environment.

ABOUT YOU

  • An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed; and
  • Current licences necessary to practice or registration and/or membership of a relevant industry association if applicable.
  • Experience in implementing latest training and assessment strategies to meet student and course requirements.
  • A keen interest in applying contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methods to maximise student learning outcomes.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110) including the units TAELLN411 & TAEASS502.
