Teacher - Conservation & Ecosystem Management
  • Casual / Sessional opportunities – evening delivery – 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm

Salary: $82.01 p/h – $88.60 p/h + 11% superannuation   
Location: Waverley Campus
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Casual.

The Department of Environment provides a progressive, innovative, and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links.

We are currently seeking qualified, experienced, and motivated professionals to prepare, deliver and assess units of competency from Certificate III to Diploma in Conservation and Ecosystem Management to students at Holmesglen (evening classes). Subject content may include biodiversity, ecological restoration and re-vegetation works. coastal rehabilitation and water quality monitoring, pest and fauna monitoring and management.

  • A keen interest in applying contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methods to maximise student learning outcomes.
  • The ability to differentiate teaching and learning to facilitate inclusion of students with a range of support needs within a specialist education setting.
  • Current licences necessary to practice or registration and/or membership of a relevant industry association if applicable.
  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment within the Conservation sector.


  • Approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications.
