THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.  
Location: Chadstone campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Ongoing contract of appointment with a 6-month qualifying period.

The Department of Computing and Information Technology is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to effectively design and teach theoretical and practical sessions, to students in Cyber Security and Networking.

This role will require the successful candidate to deliver courses online and in person, develop resources and assessment tools, maintain and accurate record of attendance, foster and promote an inclusive learning environment and provide support and advice to students of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities.

Potential subjects to be delivered include:

  • CCNA (at Instructor level)
  • Securing Cloud Services (Azure / AWS)
  • System Administration
    • AD (Active Directory)
    • AAD (Azure Active Directory)
  • Cisco industry certifications
  • Virtualisation
  • Penetration Testing
  • Cyber Security Operations (Detection and Response)
  • Network Security
  • Digital Data Forensics

ABOUT YOU

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications.
  • An approved degree or diploma in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
  • Ideally, experience as a teacher of vocational and/or higher education and training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in innovative course design and development in the context of flexible learning environments.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and written and verbal communications skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with students, the public and industry and relevant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records, as required by Institute policy, rules, procedures and guidelines.
