THE OPPORTUNITY Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience). Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT. Location: Moorabbin & Glen Waverley campus. WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check. Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check. Position Status: Contract of employment to April 2025. The Tourism and Events Programs at Holmesglen are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Teacher in Tourism, to implement and facilitate contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methodologies to maximise student learning outcomes. Play a key role in student engagement, providing advice and participating in selection. Foster an inclusive learning environment, tailoring strategies to diverse student needs. Contribute to continuous improvement, manage operational duties efficiently, and maintain industry connections for customised training. The successful applicant will participate in all facets of the learning process from course enquiry and advice to assessing and determining the educational and training requirements of students within the Certificate III in Tourism and Certificate IV in Travel and Tourism programs. ABOUT YOU - Demonstrated currency in industry practices and technology relevant to the field.
- Knowledge and understanding in implementing latest training and assessment strategies to meet student and course requirements.
- Experience in vocational and/or higher education teaching, with a focus on course development.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and research skills for diverse student engagement.
- Aptitude for innovative and flexible educational delivery, highlighting adaptability and creativity in teaching approaches.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the units TAELLN411 & TAEASS502 or equivalent
