THE OPPORTUNITY Salary: Education Manager: $114,788 x 0.5 EFT / Teacher: $78,564 - $111,391 x 0.5 EFT + 11.5% super & annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience). Are you passionate about education and looking to make a difference in students' academic success? Join us at Holmesglen as an Education Manager and Teacher in our Learning Skills Centre. This dual role offers the opportunity to lead and innovate while actively engaging in teaching and mentoring students. As Education Manager and Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing strategic educational leadership and delivering innovative teaching programs. You will lead a team of professional teaching staff while designing, developing, and delivering high-quality educational support services. Key Responsibilities - Provide leadership in the design, delivery, and evaluation of language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills support programs.
- Manage and mentor teaching staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Develop and deliver innovative teaching and assessment strategies that cater to diverse student needs.
- Oversee compliance with Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards, training packages, and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with students through workshops, individual support sessions, and in-class teaching.
- Collaborate with industry partners and stakeholders to ensure programs align with current trends and student needs.
- Monitor student progress, support strategies, and program outcomes to achieve educational excellence.
ABOUT YOU - Approved degree, diploma, or certificate in a relevant vocational area, along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Experience in managing and leading teaching teams, ideally within vocational and higher education settings.
- Proven expertise in developing and delivering education programs in language, literacy, numeracy, or digital skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the VET sector, including compliance, funding, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse student cohorts.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to and lead change and innovation in educational practices.
