THE OPPORTUNITY Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 p.a pro rata + 11.5% super & annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience). Time Fraction: Part Time, 0.8 EFT. Location: Chadstone campus, onsite parking + close proximity to public transport. Holmesglen is seeking a passionate and skilled Support Teacher to join our Learning Skills Centre team. This role is an excellent opportunity for educators who are committed to delivering high-quality language, literacy, numeracy, digital and academic skills support to a diverse range of students, including Skills First-funded and international students. As a Support Teacher, you will design and implement innovative teaching and assessment strategies tailored to the unique needs of our students. You will foster an inclusive learning environment, promote student autonomy, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our programs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver tailored educational support to students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Collaborate with faculty staff to design effective support models and teaching strategies.
- Provide targeted educational interventions based on pre-training reviews.
- Record and maintain accurate student attendance and assessment evidence in line with institutional guidelines.
- Engage in professional development to ensure industry and vocational training currency.
- Support departmental operations, including administrative and compliance requirements.
ABOUT YOU - Approved degree, diploma, or certificate in a relevant vocational area, along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Experience in providing literacy, numeracy or digital skills support within vocational or higher education settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to design and adapt teaching materials for diverse learner needs.
- Experience in fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage resources effectively.
